Adding value with derinding and fleecing machines

Weber Maschinenbau has been a strong partner for the meat industry for over 40 years. The company has its origins in the production of derinding and skinning machines. Weber was the first manufacturer to develop a skinner in a stainless steel version and thus met exactly the requirements and needs of meat processing companies - the beginning of a lasting success story and, above all, the beginning of a real partnership with customers from trade, medium-sized businesses and industry. The company's developments are characterized above all by the fact that customers and their requirements are the focus at all times. Based on this partnership, new innovations in the form of sophisticated technology and supporting services are continually being created for a Skinner portfolio that is scaled in performance and functionality, delighting customers worldwide and offering application-specific solutions. At the SÜFFA, the Weber Skinner team presented a brand new skinner that significantly increases the added value in craft businesses and medium-sized businesses.

Extremely compact and yet packed with added value – that is the new Weber skinning machine AMS 400. With its small footprint and very compact design, the AMS 400 fits easily into narrow production environments. The robust and powerful skinning machine is the entry-level model in professional quality and is therefore perfect for craft businesses and medium-sized meat companies. A variety of cuts such as beef, veal, pork, turkey, horse and game can be refined with the AMS 400 and subsequently sold at a higher price. Attractive product presentation and greater cost-effectiveness – these are two main advantages of unwoven material. To date, many sections or parts have ended up in the meat grinder in trade, medium-sized businesses and industry. However, with finely crafted and appetizingly presented cuts, a significantly higher selling price can be achieved. And those who do not rely on manual processing, but rather use powerful skinning machines to finish their pieces, also benefit from high performance, time savings and precise processing quality. All in all, this means more added value for meat processing companies.

The new Weber skinner is also available in the so-called Eco version, which SÜFFA visitors were able to experience live at the Weber trade fair stand. In contrast to conventional skinners, the AMS 400 Eco does not require compressed air because the machine's draw roller is cleaned mechanically. The advantages are many: On the one hand, there is no need for a compressor, so that the AMS 400 Eco can be used anywhere in any company, and on the other hand, an enormous reduction in operating costs and an increase in sustainability are generated because expensive compressed air is dispensed with. Thanks to the open machine stand and the elimination of compressed air hoses, the new Weber skinner also scores points in terms of hygiene and occupational safety. And minimal service and maintenance effort as well as easy operation are also ensured thanks to simple mechanics.
