Management change at TVI
Harald Suchanka joins the management of TVI. Wolfertschwandern / Irschenberg, June 12, 2017 – On June 1, Harald Suchanka (42) joined the management of TVI Development and Production GmbH based in Irschenberg as the representative of the majority owner. Together with Thomas Völkl, managing partner, and Boris Bachmeier, managing director, he will focus on the further development of the company. After the successful handover of TVI's business operations to MULTIVAC, Michel Anton, as managing partner, decided to withdraw from TVI's business and thus also to sell his entire company shares to MULTIVAC.
"We regret this step and are at the same time grateful to him for supporting us in the past few months in smoothly integrating TVI into the MULTIVAC Group. Mr. Anton resigned from the management in May 2017,” says Christian Traumann, Managing Director and Group CFO at MULTIVAC.
Harald Suchanka was won as his successor. He has worked for MULTIVAC since 2005, including as Managing Director of the subsidiary in Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, as well as Vice President Sales & Operations for South America and later as Vice President Sales & Operations for Africa, the Near and Middle East, Asia and Oceania . In addition, he has looked after MULTIVAC's partner business with great success. "Mr. Suchanka has all the prerequisites to succeed Mr. Anton and to successfully further develop TVI's business," adds Hans-Joachim Boekstegers, Managing Director and Group CEO at MULTIVAC. “We would like to thank Mr Anton very much for the work he has done and wish him all the best for the future. We are very pleased that Mr. Anton will remain on friendly terms with us even after his departure."
TVI is the market leader for meat portioning machines and complete portioning machines. The portfolio includes solutions for tempering, pressing, portioning, automating, wrapping barbecue sticks and for the production of kebab skewers. As of January 1, 2017, MULTIVAC took over 49,9% of TVI Development and Production GmbH in a first step and now owns a majority stake. The packaging specialist has thus taken a strategically important step in order to be able to offer complete production lines from a single source in the future.
In order to accommodate further expansion, TVI and MULTIVAC are jointly investing in a new production and office building with a demonstration and customer center. This is to be opened in 2018 at the new location in Bruckmühl.
