The entire world market in one place, at one time, under one roof!

Export continues to play a major role for the international meat industry. As the demand for meat products increases worldwide, the buyer markets for EU producers are increasingly shifting to growth regions such as Asia and North and South America. Meat products especially from North and South America are also delivered worldwide, including, of course, to Europe. The competition between producers is correspondingly high. Within the EU, too, producers are competing for market share.

At the same time, consumer concerns such as traceability, animal health, animal welfare and quality are becoming increasingly important for consumers and are taken into account accordingly by manufacturers when designing their offers. Vegetarian or even vegan meat substitute products are also trendy in some markets and are shown by the producers as part of their trade fair presence.

In terms of sales channels, the out-of-home market is playing an increasingly important role alongside buyers from the trade.

Many manufacturers from the meat products segment (sausages and meat products) distinguish themselves with specialties from their regions. Above all, sausage and ham specialties from Europe are very popular, increasingly also in Asia, e.g. B. in Hong Kong, Japan and Korea.

A glance at the innovations database on the Anuga website shows just how diverse the meat products presented at Anuga are. The product spectrum ranges from gourmet meat through regional ham and salami variations to beef jerky, fitness sausages, sausage snacks ToGo and meat-based ready meals.

Spices, herbs and sauces that give meat dishes original and original taste variations are also part of the Anuga Meat range or can be found at one of the other Anuga trade fairs. All in all, more than 7.200 suppliers from 100 countries are present at Anuga in Cologne.

The fair is from Saturday, October 7.10th. Open daily from 11.10.2017 a.m. to 10 p.m. until Wednesday, October 18, XNUMX. Only trade visitors have access.
