Anuga FoodTec 2018 expects new exhibitor record
Much more than packaging: Anuga FoodTec, the leading international supplier trade fair for the food and beverage industry, will open its doors from March 20th to 23rd, 2018. Around 1.700 exhibitors are expected in the Cologne exhibition halls. “Anuga FoodTec will continue its success story. We predict a further increase in the number of exhibitors of +13 percent compared to the previous event. This means that Anuga FoodTec is the only trade fair in the world that covers all aspects of food production and will impress people more than ever in the coming year with its enormous range of offerings and quality,” says Katharina C. Hamma, Managing Director of Koelnmesse GmbH. In line with the high demand from exhibitors, Anuga FoodTec 2018 is once again expanding its area to 140.000 square meters (+8 percent) and is occupying Halls 4.2, 5.2, 6 to 9 and 10.1 and, for the first time, Hall 10.2. Anuga FoodTec is also in top form when it comes to internationality: companies from more than 50 countries will present their innovations in Cologne. “The great response from abroad shows that Anuga FoodTec is the leading international supplier platform for the food and beverage industry.” In addition to the comprehensive product show, which includes large-scale live demonstrations, trade visitors can once again expect a wide-ranging congress and event program. The guiding theme of Anuga FoodTec 2018 is resource efficiency.
One for all – all in one: With its product segments Food Packaging, Safety & Analytics, Food Processing, Food Ingredients and Services & Solutions, Anuga FoodTec covers all aspects of food production. The exhibitors present solutions for all sectors of the food industry, from dairies to meat, from drinks to pasta, from fruit and vegetables to oils and fats. Anuga FoodTec offers both individual solutions and complete, cross-process concepts across all production stages.
Process technology is traditionally most strongly represented at Anuga FoodTec. Almost all market leaders and well-known companies in the industry will be presenting themselves in Halls 4.2, 6, 9, 10.1 and 10.2. In Halls 7, 8 and parts of Hall 9, the focus is on the topic of “Food Packaging” and thus packaging machines, packaging materials, automation, control and regulation technology. In Hall 5.2, trade visitors will find all information on food safety and quality management. Here, companies with a focus on hygiene technology, analysis, laboratory and trade fair equipment present their new products. From March 20th to 23rd, 2018, the Boulevard will be the perfect stage for the Food Ingredients segment.

Anuga FoodTec 2018: international source of inspiration
As the leading global trade fair, Anuga FoodTec is the most important source of inspiration for the international food and beverage industry. The number of countries represented in Cologne is correspondingly high. Companies from 50 countries will be presenting their new products at Anuga FoodTec in November. The foreign share is at a consistently high level of 56 percent. For the first time, companies from Egypt, Latvia, New Zealand and Norway are represented at the most important supplier trade fair for the food and beverage industry, thereby underlining the increasing international importance of Anuga FoodTec.
