General wage increase in the Swiss meat industry

Minimum wage is increased more

2,5% is the wage increase negotiated by the Swiss Meat Association SFF as the employers' organization and the Swiss Butchers' Association MPV. 1,5% is generally granted. In addition, employers use 1,0% of their payroll for individual and performance-related improvements. Furthermore, the minimum wages for butchers were raised. The lowest entry-level salary will be increased by 4% and is now CHF 3. The minimum wage after one year of practice is increased to CHF 850. The minimum wages must not be undercut under any circumstances and can therefore not be interpreted as indicators for the general wage level.

As the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the companies of the hospitality industry continued in Germany in September 2008 0,3% nominal and real 2,8% earlier than in September 2007. Compared with August 2008 sales was lower in the hospitality industry in September 2008 to calendar and seasonal adjustment nominal 1,8% and real 2,4%.
