Call for the 11th Bratwurstiade

Holzhausen (Wachenburg office). The 11th Bratwurstiade will start again with a bang, the opening will be completed with a shot from the bratwurst cannon. Teams with three participants each can apply to take part in the Bratwurstiade, which starts on October 3, 2017 in Holzhausen at 10.00 a.m. In addition to a good sense of humour, a willingness to perform and appropriate clothing are expected. It should be in the context of the Thuringian bratwurst, without of course restricting the athletic performance through too much ballast.

The Bratwurstiade winners can again look forward to attractive prizes in addition to the Bratwurst wreaths in gold, silver and bronze. The winning team can look forward to a suckling pig and a keg of beer. A special prize will be awarded for the most original costume. 300 Original Thuringian Rostbratwurst are again awarded for the best fan block. Criteria for this are, in addition to the numerical strength, the support of the competitors through original battle cries and songs, the outfit and fairness towards the competitors. Flags, banners and the use of musical instruments are also rated positively.

The Bratwurstiade team run, organized by SG Motor Arnstadt and the “Alteburg” running club, will again be taking place for the sixth time from the Arnstadt monastery to the Bratwurst Museum.

For children, among other activities, the popular bratwurst snapping is carried out and the candy cannon is fired again.
