German Packaging Award 2022 started. Innovations ahead!
The German Packaging Award 2022 is off to a good start. Companies, organizations and individuals can submit their innovations and new solutions to Europe's largest packaging exhibition until May 15th. The German Packaging Institute e. V. (dvi) is awarded for all materials in 10 categories and is under the patronage of the Federal Minister for Economics and Climate Protection.
“The packaging industry is not only system relevant, it is above all highly innovative,” says Dr. Bettina Horenburg, Director Corporate Communications of the Siegwerk Group, dvi board member and overall responsible for the German Packaging Award. “With its solutions, it ensures hygiene, health, product protection and security of supply for people and the economy. In addition, more and more packaging is a pioneer for sustainability and circular economy. I am convinced that the German Packaging Award will again bring the performance of our industry to the big stage and I am already looking forward to the award ceremony on the first day of Fachpack 2022".
Packaging Prize & Gold Award
Participants can choose from 10 categories for submitting their products or prototypes, ranging from design and refinement to product presentation, economy and sustainability to logistics and material flow, digitization and packaging machines. It is also possible to submit entries in several categories at the same time. In addition to the packaging prize, the jury of the German Packaging Prize can also award the even more exclusive Gold Award for particularly pioneering innovations.
The jury consists of a broad panel of experts from business, research, teaching and the media. She checks all submissions at a two-day meeting in the premises of the premium partner IGEPA group according to fixed, category-specific criteria that can be found on the website of the German Packaging Institute.
Solid arguments for sales and marketing
“The German Packaging Award is a genuine, transparent showcase. By winning a packaging prize or the even more exclusive Gold Award, companies make a strong statement. They demonstrate their outstanding innovative power and win tangible arguments in communication with customers, consumers, partners, future employees and their own team," emphasizes Dr. Horenburg.
Special prizes for youngsters
Supported by our premium partner Fachpack, the jury will again award a special prize in 2022 for young people who are at school, studying or in training. “The commitment of our partners is a real asset for the German Packaging Award. This also includes the Packaging Valley, which this year is our premium partner for the sustainability category,” says a delighted Bettina Horenburg.
Submission and award ceremony
The innovations and new solutions can be found using an online form on the German Packaging Award website at packaging.org be submitted. The site also provides information on submission deadlines, addresses, categories, criteria and costs. The presentation of the German Packaging Awards will take place together with the announcement and celebration of the Gold Awards as part of a public industry event on September 27 at Fachpack in Nuremberg.
