Quality from Germany

(DLG). From now on, food manufacturers have the option of labeling their products from German production with the well-known label of origin “Quality from Germany”. In doing so, they take account of the increased awareness of “typically German specialties”, “traditional recipes” and “quality-oriented manufacturing processes” and give those involved in the market confidence and guidance.

Food that is produced in this country stands for safety, the highest standards, sustainable production and culinary diversity. The mark of origin "Quality from Germany" underlines these values ​​succinctly. Aspects such as “origin”, “tradition” and “quality” will move even more into the focus of consumer interest in the future. As a strong brand with recognition value, the mark of origin is particularly suitable for this purpose. Because it is already well known, and according to a recent consumer survey, it is classified as very trustworthy - both are ideal starting conditions for a high level of acceptance by consumers.
 
Clear allocation modalities
With current content and evaluation criteria, the mark of origin sets quality accents and promotes German products and their manufacture. Strict awarding procedures were developed together with experts, which apply across all sectors to the following product areas: baked goods, confectionery, meat products and fresh meat, delicatessen, ready-made meals, fish & seafood, dairy products and ice cream, beer, fruit and soft drinks, spirits and alcoholic mixed drinks as well as fruit and vegetables .
 
Participation requirements
The office of the mark of origin, which is part of the DLG (German Agricultural Society), monitors compliance with all criteria and regulations.
The following requirements must be met for the award:
 
· Made in Germany
The food is produced in Germany according to German quality standards. The LMIV Article 26, Paragraph 3: Country of origin or place of origin applies
 
· Traditional recipes / products
Products based on VO EU 1151/2012, which are at least 30 years old and are in the list of "traditional recipes" published on the website www.aus-deutschen-landen.de.
 
· Proven product quality
Sensory product analysis as well as packaging and labeling testing
 
The brand “From German Lands” can be used for two years for their product and corporate communication if the requirements are met by food producers based and manufactured in Germany.
