ZENTRAG-AFMO commodity exchange in Mainz

Frankfurt/Mainz. - The central cooperative of the European butchers' trade, ZENTRAG eG, is holding its traditional goods exchange in the "Rheingoldhalle" in Mainz on Saturday, September 29.9th. 2018, for the first time in cooperation with the working group of independent dairy products wholesalers, AFMO eG. The information forum, in which more than 100 exhibitors take part, is a long-established and successful trade fair and communication platform of the cooperative association, where the affiliated business organizations and their members can get a comprehensive overview of the current market and supply activities in the supplier industries. The commodity exchange offers an optimal overall picture of classic and new products, ranges and trends - and is also a pioneering forum for innovation and future concepts in the meat and dairy products industry. The more than 100 exhibitors, mostly longstanding, well-known market partners of the two groups, come from industry and crafts, but also from the commercial and service sectors.

In addition to the classic, established core ranges, the ZENTRAG/AFMO exchange is also a current market place for innovations and news from affiliated segments and market areas, which also play an important role in the full range of both cooperative groups. There are corresponding extensions of topics from the business areas of gastronomy, the hotel industry, catering and the convenience sector - specifically with presentations from the frozen, baked goods, beverage and packaging sectors. Central exhibitor themes are also the product groups delicatessen, spices or the segment of detergents, cleaning and hygiene products as well as machine and production requirements. In the service sector there is also specific information and offers on energy and insurance issues. The variety of information is supplemented by numerous live cooking activities, tasting stands and entertaining elements.

“Both centers and associations have long been more than monothematic wholesale systems. Our market and with it the demands of our members are changing rapidly. In the cooperation with the AFMO, it is particularly important to optimally link existing intersections and broadening of perspectives. The result of our joint commodity exchange must therefore be that our members and customers receive an optimal 360-degree overview of all elementary topics - in a time-saving, intensive and concrete manner. Of course, it is also about the collegial exchange beyond the normal horizon, about informative added value and concrete offer and purchasing advantages," says Anton Wahl, spokesman of the board of ZENTRAG eG, summarizing the core program of the trade fair. Klaus Bittel, Managing Director of AFMO eG, adds: “Our cooperation enables a new dimension in the breadth and compactness of information that has not existed before and benefits all sides. This advantage applies above all to the members of the association, who not only can obtain direct information about all the main topics of the two sectors, but also receive important impulses and synergy opportunities. This systematic broadening of the perspective is of fundamental importance, especially with regard to future market advantages.”

The central contact and presentation point of the commodity exchange is of course the joint information stand of ZENTRAG eG and AFMO eG. The trade and service center for the butcher trade will present highlights from its extensive range of products and services - such as new offers and cooperations from the ZENTRAG departments "Food", "Butcher Supplies and Machines" and "Meat, Game and Poultry". The requirements department places its informative focus on the fd entry-level price range, here primarily on cleaning and hygiene products. The “Food” department is also presenting its fd range – including the new product “Rice and legumes” (5 kg bags). Other main topics at the ZENTRAG stand come from the ZENTRAG market partners - for example from the companies Temca, Wächter, Mainca, Bio Tec, Hagen Feinkost, Bel Germany, VFI Öle u. Fette as well as Rüma- and Gyma-Feinkost.
