KG rejects the allegations of "serious hygiene deficiencies" currently being spread by the Foodwatch organization in their facility in Landsberg. “This accusation is clearly wrong. Everyone who knows the company in Landsberg knows that. Foodwatch has also received corresponding declarations from the responsible authorities on site that this assessment is not correct. But in order to attract public attention, these false claims are made anyway. That's outrageous, "says press spokesman Dr. André multi-cities.
On September 20, 2018, Foodwatch published a report in which the official controls at Landsberger Wurstspezialitäten GmbH & Co.KG and the company's alleged failings in the hygiene of the company are reported. The magazine SPIEGEL Online and other media reported thereupon.
“Accordingly, we also reject the allegations in the media that arose on the basis of the Foodwatch press release. Here unfounded allegations are passed on without knowledge of the local conditions. We find that irresponsible, ”says Vielstädte.
The competent authority has confirmed to Foodwatch that the described deficiencies “from the point of view of the surveillance authority were not serious, but usually only minor violations and these were immediately remedied by the company.” Nevertheless, Foodwatch gives the impression of inadequate Care that Landsberger Wurstspezialitäten GmbH & Co. KG resolutely contradicts.
“We decided to deal with the request openly and transparently and we already had Foodwatch on July 11.7th. invited to take a look at the operation and to discuss the respective control reports in detail. Hintergrund:
Landsberger Wurstspezialitäten GmbH & Co. KG was taken over from bankruptcy in October 2017. The company was rebuilt, improved and renewed in the months that followed. The focus was on production security, job security and the development of new production concepts and products that are now produced at the site.
The company has taken into account and resolved individual complaints, whether justified or not, or has been able to clarify any misunderstandings with the supervisory authority. Renovation measures have also ensured that these can be permanently ruled out for the future.
The site was redeveloped in the course of the year in close coordination with the responsible authorities. The district office provided technical support for the renovation.
