Slaughterhouse "Standard-Fleisch" closes
Standard-Fleisch GmbH & Co. KG from Oldenburg closes. Animal rights activists and animal rights activists secretly shot videos at the company where the animals were not slaughtered properly and in excruciating circumstances. The public prosecutor's office in Oldenburg and the veterinary office have shut down the company. Public pressure had become too high, according to a spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture.
The slaughterhouse supplied large customers such as Böseler Goldschmaus GmbH, Norma, HIT markets from NRW, EDEKA and ALDI. The buyers reacted shocked to the pictures and ended the cooperation without any restrictions.
