VAN HEES opens new plant in Moscow

On the 22. In May, the official opening of the new VAN HEES plant in Moscow took place on the grounds of the Sheremetyevo Industrial Park in the district of Khimki. This modern production and warehouse complex was built according to the specific technical specifications of VAN HEES and complies with the requirements of the international quality standards ISO 22000 and IFS. There, 500 produces various items for the entire food industry from meat and fish processing to confectionery and bakery.

The event was opened with welcome speeches by Deputy Minister of Investments and Innovation of Moscow Region Anton Loginow, Managing Directors of VAN HEES Robert Becht and Frédérick Guet, and Van Hees Rus Olesya Dolgova CEO. Afterwards, the speakers intersected the symbolic red ribbon in a festive atmosphere.

Anton Loginow congratulated VAN HEES on the opening of the new location, which is of strategic importance to the business development in the Russian Federation. Construction of the plant started after the shareholders made the strategic decision to expand the Russian site. The production area at the new location is many times larger than at the previous location in the district of Mytishchi in the Moscow region.

The building was built according to our specifications, fulfills all the requirements of international certification systems and offers enough expansion reserves to enable it to grow further in the future if the business develops accordingly.

In addition to the production hall, warehouse and office, there is a well-equipped entry and production control lab, a training room where we provide trader and customer training, and a technical center to conduct product testing and training for technologists. "

Was the new building an operating requirement or an investment in the future?
"The need to expand production and storage space and expand production capacity came about two years ago. Due to the very positive business development, the capacity limits at the old location were reached and a further development in these spatial conditions is not possible. Therefore, the decision of VAN HEES to look for new production sites was crucial. We chose the new location very carefully - we wanted to place the office, the production halls and the warehouse in one place, while at the same time taking into account the specific technical requirements for the production operation. An important role in the choice of the industrial park Sheremetyevo also played the very well developed infrastructure and the excellent logistical connection by the proximity to the airport and the main roads. "

Will the brand portfolio be extended?
"An expansion of the brand range is currently not planned. We will work in the context of the three product lines of Van Hees Rus, which are known in Russia. The EUROSPICE line is offered exclusively by our trading partner Region New Technologies on the market. In addition there is the brand DEKAVIS, which is sold in Russia by our other trading partner, the trading house Vympel. The third line, the SPEKO brand, is the "youngest" - it has been on the market for two years. We are actively developing all three brands and expanding the product range for different areas of the food industry. "

How are purchasing and quality control of raw materials organized?
"Most raw materials come from Europe via the VAN HEES headquarters. But we purchase some components from Asia through our partners, huge wholesalers who have their own offices in these countries and have the ability to evaluate the quality of raw material deliveries on site before shipping them to Russia.

As soon as the raw materials arrive in the warehouse, they are subjected to a strict incoming inspection. Each raw material batch is tested for its specific properties and compared with the target values. Until the release, the raw materials are in the quarantine zone. The digital control of our operations eliminates the use of a raw material prior to release. "

And how will the final inspection be carried out?
"Two samples are taken from each batch, one of which is stored for the entire shelf life and re-verified in the event of a buyer's complaint. The other product sample is immediately sent to the laboratory for express analysis. Each batch of product is accompanied by data sheets containing information about the batch number, date of manufacture, formulation, quality characteristics and results of the laboratory tests. "
