Team Tönnies welcomes 40 new trainees in Rheda-Wiedenbrück

At the start of the new training year starting on August 1st, Margit and Clemens Tönnies, as well as HR manager Martin Bocklage, together with the trainers, welcomed a total of 39 trainees who will start immediately at the Rheda-Wiedenbrück site. Another trainee will start his first year of training on September 1st. “We warmly welcome you to Tönnies and wish you all the best and every success for your training. Get involved with commitment and your own ideas and discover your strengths. Let's take responsibility for high-quality food together," said Clemens Tönnies, welcoming the new employees.

“You are an important part of the Tönnies team. We shape the future with you. Be curious, ask questions and help each other,” said Martin Bocklage to the new employees.

The 40 trainees will be trained in eleven different fields over the next two and a half to three years. The largest group is made up of industrial clerks (15), followed by specialists in industrial mechatronics (4), warehouse logistics (4), IT specialists (3), electrics (3), food technology (3), mechatronics (2) and professional drivers (2), Shipping clerks (2), vehicle mechatronics technicians (1) and retail clerks (1).

In the past few days, the new trainees have already undergone a corona test in the company's test center. With the negative result, everyone was finally able to start their first day at work on Monday. After the welcome, there was a first meeting, the first obligatory training measure and a joint lunch.
