Bell Food Group takes over ARYZTA's sandwich production
Hilcona, part of the Bell Food Group, takes over the sandwich production of ARYZTA Switzerland. All employees and the production site will be taken over. Hilcona is thus further expanding its market position in the growing area of freshly made sandwiches. With the takeover of sandwich production from ARYZTA Switzerland in Schlieren, Hilcona AG, which belongs to the Bell Food Group, will have additional production capacities for ultra-fresh sandwiches from August 1, 2021. At the same time, Hilcona AG is expanding its market leadership in this growing segment with the new freshness factory. With the acquisition, Hilcona is taking over all around 25 employees of ARYZTA Switzerland from sandwich production as well as the production site in Schlieren. The contracting parties have agreed not to disclose any details of the contract.
Together with the Hilcona production site in Orbe (VD) with around 500 employees, Hilcona AG can respond to the increased demand for fresh, handcrafted sandwich variations. "Freshly baked bread and the best quality raw materials remain the most important ingredients for success," emphasizes Lorenz Wyss, CEO of the Bell Food Group. "With customer proximity, innovations and traditional manufacturing quality, we differentiate ourselves in the growing segment of ultra-fresh products."
