Las Vegas Award: Supplier of the Year

Las Vegas (Nevada), March 12, 2024 – At the Subway Global Convention in Las Vegas, the German solution provider Bizerba was awarded the prestigious “Supplier of the Year” award for supplier of the year. This award particularly recognizes Bizerba's critical role in improving Subway's menu offering and marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two companies.

Partnership for innovation and excellence
In spring 2022, Bizerba received a landmark order to manufacture more than 20.000 slicers for Subway franchisees. This assignment aimed to improve operations in North America for one of the world's largest restaurant brands and marked the beginning of Bizerba's journey to this significant recognition. The automatic slicers manufactured at Bizerba in Meßkirch, Germany, enabled the introduction of fresh-cut meat products and have helped further improve the quality of Subway offerings in all stores across the United States.

The partnership between Bizerba and the Independent Purchasing Cooperative (IPC) – the Subway franchisee-run cooperative that handles restaurant supply chain processes – was driven by a shared vision for innovation and excellence, ultimately resulting in a smooth rollout of the slicers across Subway franchise operations in the United States. This collaboration was further enriched through mutual engagements, including visits by Subway representatives to Bizerba Germany's production facilities as well as visits by Bizerba representatives to various franchise locations.

Shared success
