Other cases of African swine fever

The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) informs that the suspicion of African swine fever (ASF) has been confirmed in six other wild boars in Brandenburg. The national reference laboratory - the Friedrich Loeffler Institute - detected the animal disease in the corresponding samples last Friday. The localities lie within the first core area. The domestic pig stocks in Germany are still free of African swine fever.
