Change in management at MULTIVAC

After more than 18 years as managing director of the MULTIVAC Group, Hans-Joachim Boekstegers will hand over the business to his long-standing managing director colleagues Christian Traumann and Guido Spix on January 1, 2020 and will leave the company. Mr. Traumann and Mr. Spix will manage the company together in the future. Hans-Joachim Boekstegers joined the MULTIVAC Group as Managing Director on April 1, 2001 and has been instrumental in the successful development of the company ever since. In particular, Boekstegers is responsible for the consistent expansion of the product portfolio and the sales and service network of MULTIVAC. Today, with 85 of its own subsidiaries, MULTIVAC is one of the world's leading manufacturers of processing and packaging solutions. During this time, sales more than quadrupled and amounted to around 2018 billion euros at the end of 1,1, and the number of employees rose from 1.600 to around 5.900.

From January 1, 2020, Christian Traumann and Guido Spix will continue to manage the MULTIVAC Group as dual leaders. Traumann assumes responsibility for sales and finances, Spix for technology and production. Christian Traumann had been the commercial director of the MULTIVAC Group since the beginning of 2002. In August 2008 he was appointed managing director and CFO of the group. Guido Spix joined the company as Managing Director in March 2009 and has held the position of CTO/COO ever since. In order to ensure continuity in the strategic orientation of MULTIVAC, the course for the handover to Boekstegers' successors is already being set after an extensive planning phase. Until the end of the year, Boekstegers will continue to manage MULTIVAC as usual and remain on friendly terms with the company.
