Managing Director Dr. Thomas Janning leaves the German poultry industry

After 25 years of successful work, Dr. Thomas Janning decided to pursue new professional paths in the future. The long-standing managing director of the Central Association of the German Poultry Industry (ZDG) will be leaving the association at his own request by the end of 2022 at the latest. Thomas Janning in October 1996 as division manager. In January 2007 he was appointed managing director of the ZDG and the affiliated federal associations and organizations. Since then, the joint office in Berlin has developed into a modern, high-performance and always open to dialogue interest group for the entire poultry industry.

Today Dr. Janning personally informs the ZDG committees and employees that he will end his commitment to the poultry industry associations at his own request because he would like to face new professional challenges. Until the end of 2022, Dr. Thomas Janning is ready to continue to work as managing director of the ZDG and to ensure a professional handover.

“After 25 years in numerous national and international bodies, we regret Dr. Janning extraordinary. As ZDG managing director, he is characterized by his excellent networking in the entire food industry, his extensive experience and his exemplary willingness to perform. We owe him a lot of thanks for his exemplary committed work and look forward to a collegial and continued successful transition period ”, says Friedrich-Otto Ripke, President of the ZDG.

The Central Association of the German Poultry Industry e. V., as a professional umbrella and umbrella organization, represents the interests of the German poultry industry at federal and EU level vis-à-vis political, official and professional organizations, the public and abroad. The approximately 8.000 members are organized in federal and state associations.
