New weighing system for IFFA 2019

The WS 2019 weighing system is a novelty that Handtmann is presenting to the trade audience for the first time at IFFA 910. With the multifunctional vacuum fillers of the VF 800 series, Handtmann has developed intelligent portioning and control modules for modern production processes. Among other things, they are the central control module for networking and synchronization with other process modules, such as the new Handtmann WS 910 weighing system.

Cost reduction through guaranteed gram-accurate weights of minced meat products. This is what the new WS 910 weighing system from Handtmann offers. It is particularly useful in the fields of minced meat and in the manufacture of shaped products. The WS 910 weighing system with the SB 912 sorting belt is always part of a total solution, integrated in a production line for process monitoring. The basic function includes control, monitoring and weight regulation of the production as well as the discharge of underweight and overweight portions after the forming and portioning process. The weighing system is also part of the Handtmann LineControl concept. This means, on the one hand, user-friendliness (the product selection is only made via the vacuum filler, the setting of the scales and communication then take place automatically within the line) and, on the other hand, process reliability through increased line effectiveness.

The use of the new WS 910 weighing system with the SB 912 sorting belt eliminates the need for rework, which leads to savings in packaging, resources and handling. Fewer rejections thanks to weights accurate to the gram also increases the effectiveness and production output of the production line. Significant cost savings are also created by reducing give-away to a minimum, since 100% control is given through reference weighing of each portion.

The new weighing system will be demonstrated live at IFFA in a line solution for the production of minced meat products, from the filling process to placing in the packaging: Hall 12, Stand A70 / A80.
