SÜFFA 2020 - November 7th to 9th

Despite Corona: Anniversary edition of the popular trade fair for the meat industry with current trend topics for the future. As a marketplace and knowledge exchange, the Stuttgart-based SÜFFA has been setting standards since 1984 - and has long since become a fixed date for the meat industry in Germany and neighboring countries. In its anniversary edition, the popular trade fair is convincing for the 25th time with a proven event concept that has been adapted to the special circumstances in the Corona year 2020. In addition to a comprehensive exhibition in the areas of production and sales, visitors can look forward to a wide-ranging, informative supporting program with many trend-setting topics (November 7th to 9th).

"Show important market developments"
SÜFFA is "this year the first major trade fair after the Corona break," says project manager Sophie Stähle from Messe Stuttgart. “It shows important market developments that will gain in importance in the coming months, but also in the medium and long term. Well-known manufacturers and dealers provide advice at the exhibition stands. In addition, live demonstrations and interesting lectures offer a wealth of information, practical tips and valuable suggestions. "

On the grill: the grill boom continues
The Germans are considered to be Europe's grill masters. Even and especially in times of Corona, the family enjoys barbecuing a lot. The boom of recent years is continuing, and by no means only in summer - keyword: winter barbecues. This increases the demand for high-quality meat products, because what ends up on the grill is anything but “sausage”. It should be regional or exotic, preferably in organic quality, skilfully prepared and served as smartly as possible. With the BBQ area, SÜFFA is responding to growing customer demands, new requirements and opportunities relating to the BBQ business.

On the prowl: game consumption is increasing
Another focus of SÜFFA 2020 is game & hunting, because meat from local forests is increasingly in demand among consumers. There are various reasons for the strong increase in consumption: wild boar, roe deer, red deer and fallow deer are not only tasty, but are also currently very popular in terms of nutrition, animal welfare and security of origin. When it comes to processing and marketing game meat and refined game products, butchers are ideal partners for hunters. The SÜFFA offers both professional groups a platform: The regional guild association for the butcher's trade in Baden-Württemberg as well as the state hunting association and the game rebels of the German hunting association are represented as local contacts.

From the niche: delicatessen
The modern butcher's shop is no longer limited to classic meat and sausage products, but complements its range with an attractive side shop. In many places it is impossible to imagine life without delicatessen and catering offers, which are very popular with customers. In the Feinkost theme park, visitors to SÜFFA can therefore expect an exclusive range of products from selected manufacturers who will present their products at the fair. The palette is seductive and ranges from traditional Serrano and Parma ham to fine spice mixes, handmade pasta, vinegars and oils to sauces, mustard and truffle specialties.

On stage: the national team is motivated
Questions that move trade and industry will be answered in panel discussions and expert lectures on the trends & new stage. You can also look forward to a reunion with the national butcher's trade team: The troop supervised by DFV Vice-President Nora Seitz wants to be the "figurehead and ambassador of our profession" - and set off a veritable firework of motivation at SÜFFA. A performance by the butcher Wolfpack around "Alpha-Wolf" Dirk Freyberger from Augsburg is also planned.

All-rounder with a key function: butchers' women
What would a SÜFFA be without butcher's womens day? Since its first edition in 2014, the day of action has been doing justice to the complex role women play in the butcher's trade: women are masters, specialist salespeople, employees and trainees; many have a business education and, as decision-makers, play a key role in the company. On Monday, November 9th, there will be another special offer for all female industry professionals at SÜFFA.

Get on the bacon: SÜFFA competitions
The highlights of every SÜFFA include the prestigious competitions that will be held in compact form at the trade fair in the Corona year 2020. Within the industry, the coveted prices are a seal of quality and are used specifically as a marketing tool by the award-winning companies. The next generation, however, has the opportunity to prove themselves and improve their own career opportunities. So you can be curious!
