“Due to the continued growth of the world population, an increasing demand for food and therefore also a growing demand for vegetable protein is to be expected,” says Matthias Schlüter, Director of Anuga FoodTec. From March 19 to 22, 2024, Anuga FoodTec will focus on the processing of alternative proteins and the necessary know-how along the entire process chain.

"Renewed collaboration with the Alternative Protein Sources Association underscores our shared commitment to making the food and beverage industry more sustainable. We believe this partnership will help drive groundbreaking ideas and innovation to meet the challenges of the future," continued Schlüter.

Whether it's fermenters, bioreactors, filtration systems or dryers: trade visitors and companies will find comprehensive information on the production of alternative proteins at Anuga FoodTec. The international supplier trade fair for the food and beverage industry not only covers the wide range of solutions for producing plant-based and cultivated meat alternatives, but also takes a detailed look at solutions for milk, cheese, egg or fish alternatives.

The Federal Association for Alternative Protein Sources shares this commitment: “The focus of our cooperation is to support our members and other industry players in shaping the future development of the sector together and exploiting potential. This is the only way to meet the growing global need for new technologies and resource-saving solutions,” says Fabio Ziemßen, board member of the federal association. Trade fair visitors can look forward to fascinating insights and inspiring discussions on this future-oriented topic.

Anuga FoodTec is the leading international supplier trade fair for the food and beverage industry. Organized by Koelnmesse, the trade fair will take place in Cologne from March 19th to 22nd, 2024 and focuses on the key theme of responsibility. The technical and intellectual sponsor is the DLG, German Agricultural Society.
