Culinary heritage of Bavaria

The epicurean triumvirate of bratwurst, onion tart and dumplings (Rutscher) has been enriching Bavaria's culinary heritage since May of this year. On May 9th, the Coburg market traders, bratwurst roasters and showmen were officially admitted to the Bavarian Culinary Heritage Association (KEB). KEB Managing Director Dr. Wolfgang Filter (2nd from left) presented Mayor Norbert Tessmer (left) and Mayor Dr. Birgit Weber 2nd from re) the certificate of accession to the honorary board member of the Coburg market merchants, Joachim Grosch (middle). Butcher chief Ralf Luther (right) was also pleased with Mayor Tessmer that the Coburg bratwurst in particular is now undisputedly recognized as a traditional regional specialty after the ordeal of recent years. With the inclusion in the culinary heritage, Dr. Filter the appeal to unwaveringly uphold and preserve traditional production methods.
