Bill on the prohibition of contracts for work and services
Friedrich-Otto Ripke, President of the Central Association of the German Poultry Industry e. V. (ZDG): “We are shocked by the anti-business ideology with which Federal Labor Minister Hubertus Heil completely threw the economic and legal principles that apply in our constitutional state overboard with his draft of an occupational health and safety control law. The ban on temporary workers and business cooperation that goes beyond the work contracts is disproportionate, knitted with a hot needle - and endangers jobs! In an unprecedented way, the federal government is taking away from a single industry basic market principles that are guaranteed by the rule of law.
It is clear that our industry will in future dispense with work contracts - regardless of a legal prohibition. And we have made an even more far-reaching offer to politicians and the trade unions: a binding collective agreement! However, the instrument of employee leasing is mandatory so that our companies can react flexibly to seasonal peaks. A binding quota could prevent misuse. In addition, the ban on business cooperation undermines, among other things, mandatory and established food hygiene law facts. Minister Heil knowingly ignores all this and accepts with his eyes that an entire branch of the economy with thousands of jobs in Germany is threatened and that the import of foreign meat products is wide open. From the point of view of the German poultry industry, one thing is clear: In addition to the violation of market economy principles in the draft law, the necessary duty of care, which must be the basis of every German law, was grossly violated. We appeal to the reason and objectivity of the members of the German Bundestag to correct these mistakes in the further legislative process!"

The Central Association of the German poultry industry e. V. represents as a trade roof and top organization, the interests of the German poultry industry at national and EU level towards political, official and professional organizations, the public and abroad. The approximately 8.000 members are organized in federal and state associations.
