The national butchering team has 21.400 supporters

The online petition initiated by the national team of the butcher trade was closed on New Year's Eve. The campaign found a total of around 21.400 supporters. In this way, the political demands of the butcher's trade can be given additional emphasis. The main demand of the petition was fair treatment of the butcher's trade in relation to industrial structures. Using specific examples, it was made clear that the skilled trades are disadvantaged in certain areas by legal requirements. That has to be changed. The concern was not to bring about preferential treatment, but to reduce disadvantages. The campaign ran for almost five months. Numerous companies in the butcher's trade advertised the campaign to customers, acquaintances and of course those in the immediate vicinity of the company and collected a large number of signatures. The national team owes special thanks to these particularly active supporters. It turns out that a lot more would have been possible if even more craft businesses had become active in a similar way.
Nevertheless, the result is rated as extremely positive by both the national team and the top management of the German Butchers' Association. The petition is the first of its kind to be initiated in the butcher's trade. Against this background, the great popularity among customers is a remarkable result.
