Breidenbach, December 15, 2023. Weber Maschinenbau continues to drive international growth: With the official launch on January 01, 2024, the global line solution provider is establishing two new subsidiaries - Weber Food Technology Schweiz GmbH in Switzerland and Weber Food Technology do Brasil Ltda in Brazil. To date, Weber products and services have been sold in these markets via sales partners. With the establishment of the new subsidiaries, Weber will now be able to support customers directly on site and further expand the local service offering. “The motivation for our direct market entry lies primarily in the further development of our structures and direct customer interaction. In recent years we have completed a transformation from a machine manufacturer to a solution provider. This has fundamentally changed our approach to projects,” explains Daniel Frank, CSO Weber Maschinenbau. “In order to better meet the requirements of our customers, closer coordination and effective project management are essential, and physical proximity to our customers in Switzerland is a great advantage,” adds Fabian Tommer, future Managing Director of Weber Switzerland. The same applies to the new subsidiary in Brazil. The central goal is to support Brazilian food producers more quickly, efficiently and in a more targeted manner with a Weber team based directly on site. In addition, Brazil offers strong growth potential for Weber due to recent legislative changes regarding sliced foods and its large population. “Through a direct presence, we can respond more quickly to customer needs, understand their requirements better and develop tailor-made solutions,” emphasizes Douglas Elsenbach, Managing Director of Weber do Brasil.

Essentially, the new Weber locations will enable even better and more comprehensive customer support - from advice and project management to after-sales support and the ability to access Weber's global software solutions and support structures. In order to ensure all of this, Weber relies on a strong and experienced team in both countries and has also focused on the needs of customers by setting up extensive storage areas and its own showroom. This not only ensures rapid provision of spare parts, but also enables on-site demonstrations and events to be held for customers in the region. This setup is a strong basis that customers in Brazil and Switzerland can rely on in the future.
