Husbandry form from summer with 5 instead of 4 levels
The previously four-stage husbandry type labeling will become five-stage this year. The fourth level will be divided and the labeling will be supplemented by a separate fifth level for organic programs. As before, conventional animal welfare programs are classified by the sponsoring company in the fourth level. In addition, the five levels each receive new names that correspond to those of the mandatory state animal husbandry labeling. These changes will come into force for all areas of husbandry in summer 2024.
