The event and congress program at Anuga FoodTec 2018

Anuga FoodTec is the leading international supplier fair for the beverage and food industry. From March 20th to 23rd, 2018 she will prove it again: round 1.700 suppliers from more than 50 countries will show their innovations on 140.000 square meters of exhibition space around the production and packaging of all foods. The comprehensive range of exhibitions will again be accompanied this year by a multifaceted program of events and congresses. Target group-specific lectures, conferences, forums, guided tours, special shows and networking events create additional impetus and added value for exhibitors and visitors. The top topic at Anuga FoodTec 2018 is resource efficiency. As usual, the DLG Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft will be responsible for the technical organization of the congress program.

Optimizing production processes, reducing energy and water consumption, keeping food loss to a minimum: all this and much more will be highlighted at the half-day opening conference of Anuga FoodTec, which is entirely dedicated to the topic of resource efficiency. Speakers are the internationally recognized experts Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart (scientific manager of the Hamburg Environmental Institute (HUI), Hamburg), Prof. Dr. ir. Ruud Huirne (Directeur Food & Agri Nederland, Rabobank), Prof. Pierre Pienaar (President of the World Packaging Organization) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alexander Sauer (Director, Institute for Energy Efficiency in Production EEP, University of Stuttgart). The opening conference will take place on March 20th at 14:00 p.m. in the Europasaal of the Congress Centrum Ost.

From food and beverage technology and packaging to current and future trends: the specialist forums at Anuga FoodTec offer numerous opportunities for information and exchange with national and international experts. In addition to the opening conference, this year's key theme will also be the focus of the 'Resource Efficiency' forum. Two other focal points in the program of the specialist forums are 'topics, trends, technologies - this is what moves the food industry' and 'food ingredients'. Guided Tours: guided and well informed
The Guided Tours offer a compact and informative overview of specific subject areas in the food and beverage industry. As part of the tours, selected exhibitors will present and explain their products, systems and functions live on site. Interested visitors can take part in various tours every day. The guided tours have topics such as robotics, industry 4.0, making filling and packaging technology more flexible, butchery technology, dairy technology and innovative packaging materials. Anuga FoodTec 2018: a lot on the agenda
In the Speakers Corner, exhibitors at Anuga FoodTec 2018 will present their company, their product range and/or their innovations to a broad specialist audience. A different exciting topic is on the program every 30 minutes throughout the duration of the trade fair. The Speakers Corner can be found in Passage 4/5. In addition, trade visitors can look forward to special shows such as the 'Robotics Pack Line' or a special exhibition on the subject of 'Packaging Design'. The numerous live presentations by the exhibitors make the Anuga FoodTec experience perfect. Anyone who definitely wants to see a certain machine in action can find out about the machine demonstration times online shortly before the start of the trade fair. Interested parties can use the event search and the option "extended search"/"topic area" to get to the respective categories and the machine demonstration times.
