Metal detection for the safety and purity of meat products
The meat manufacturer Haspel eK with over 25 years of experience in purchasing, processing and selling meat relies on quality and innovative technology. A wide range of fresh and frozen meat from pork and beef as well as meat preparations in various packaging variants from 200 grams to six kilograms and very high product effects require metal detection with cutting-edge technology. The inspection at the goods issue after packaging, where up to 130 tons of meat and meat preparations pass through each day, is necessary.
The conveyor belt system UNICON + from Sesotec with integrated metal detector INTUITY ensures stability and hygiene in connection with the highest metal detection performance and the simplest operation. The multi-simultaneous-frequency technology enables reels to examine products from three different packaging lines with the same metal detector. "The quick change of different programs via external control of the merchandise management, due to the three packaging lines already mentioned, is a very important and useful function for us," says Florian Stadelmann, Operations Manager at Haspel Fleischmanufaktur.
With multi-simultaneous frequency technology, two frequencies between 0 and 900 kilohertz work in parallel. The two frequencies that best suit the product are selected during the learning process. INTUITY then inspects with these two frequencies at the same time in order to achieve the best metal detection results.
The customer's aim is to be able to examine a wide variety of meat products and packaging sizes with the best possible sensitivity. Although devices from Sesotec are already available, tests were made with devices from different manufacturers in order to be able to compare the performance of the new multi-simultaneous frequency technology. INTUITY from Sesotec impressed with the highest level of detection accuracy and very simple operation. In addition, there is flawless and stable operation without false rejections and the best sensitivity to stainless steel, which leads to complete satisfaction with the customer. The cooperation between Haspel and Sesotec has proven itself once again.
