Federal award for Kaufland meat products

The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) has honored Kaufland Fleischwaren with the Federal Honorary Award, which is the highest quality award in the German food industry. Kaufland has received the award for the 17th time in a row. The Federal Ministry and the President of the German Agricultural Society (DLG), Hubertus Paetow, congratulate him on this high honor. Award-winning companies are seen as quality ambassadors for their industry. They go through a demanding expert examination and demonstrate great professional ability. The prize is motivation and a showcase of achievement, and at the same time it is of great importance to consumers. It provides orientation and security when purchasing.

The national prizes of honor are awarded annually to twelve companies in the German meat products industry. In the previous year, these achieved the best results in the extensive expert tests of the DLG quality tests. The focus of the product-specific test methodology is the sensory analysis of the food, which is supplemented by a review of the declaration and packaging as well as laboratory tests. In the words of the DLG President, the Federal Honorary Award stands for high credibility in quality performance. This has to be proven again and again. "Anyone who receives the highest award in the food industry for the 17th time impressively documents that they are among the top companies in Germany and, as ambassadors of enjoyment, set trend-setting standards in terms of quality, enjoyment and taste that inspire others," explained Hubertus Paetow.
