86 ASF cases confirmed

African swine fever is harmless to humans and other animal species, but not to wild and domestic pigs. In Germany, 86 new cases have now been officially confirmed. According to the information, most cases were confirmed in the Oder-Spree district (district in eastern Brandenburg, near the Polish border). A hard blow for the German meat industry - China has banned the import of German pork, although the domestic pig population in Germany is still free of African swine fever.
