New chairman of the German Meat Museum Association

In the 35th year of the German Meat Museum and in the year of his 80th birthday, Prof. Dr. dr Kurt Nagel resigned after 40 years as chairman of the Association of the German Butcher Museum. Fritz Gempel (born in 1963) was elected as the new chairman of the association. Prof. Dr. dr Kurt Nagel was unanimously exonerated at this year's general meeting and honored and honored in several stirring speeches by various companions with all his great services to the museum and the association. He was also made an honorary member of the association.

Fritz Gempel, the new chairman, is a master butcher, "business economist for the trade" and a certified business mediator. He is currently working as a freelance management consultant and business mediator as well as a lecturer at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (Heilbronn). He knows the craft and its protagonists inside and out. He is just as familiar with the practice and everyday life in the sausage kitchen and in sales as he is with administrative tasks and journalistic work. Among other things, he has already worked as a consultant for advertising, press and public relations at the Bavarian Butchers' Association in Augsburg and as editor-in-chief and co-publisher of the trade journal "Die Fleischerei" (Holzmann-Medien, Bad Wörishofen).

Fritz Gempel never let go of contact with the practical day-to-day work of the craft and with young people, primarily through his work as a lecturer and consultant. The administration of the city of Böblingen and the association are very pleased that Fritz Gempel, such a competent and broad-based, reflected practitioner and mediator and specialist in theory, who is very familiar with the working world, could be won as chairman.

With the museum director Dr. Christian Baudisch Fritz Gempel has already carried out various projects together. This cooperation, which has already been tried and tested, will be further intensified by the new official function of Fritz Gempel. Fritz Gempel was already an important intermediary for the museum in terms of contact and cooperation with the trades and the meat industry, and now long-term partnerships, cooperation, exchange and discussions are to be created.

Fritz Gempel would also like to get to know Böblingen better as a city, cultural and business location and win him over for sustainable cooperation. He would also like to introduce the association and its person to the citizens as an institution of multi-layered cultural life. Everyone involved agrees that the two most important tasks of the association are recruiting new, young, active and diverse members and actively helping to shape the further development of the Fleischermuseum. This museum, which is unique in the world, and the weirdest house on Böblingen's market square, is intended to bring joy, knowledge, enjoyment, as well as aesthetic and culinary gains to all those who are curious and open-minded.

There have also been changes in other positions in the club. The second chairman is now Mr. Tobias Halschke, who was previously on the advisory board. Ulrich Klostermann (state guild association), previous second chairman, is moving to the advisory board. Ms. Dagmar Halschke is brand new to the Advisory Board. Mr. Karl Hezinger was confirmed as a member of the advisory board. Mr. Rolf Dickgiesser has resigned from his office as managing director of the association, this position could not be filled at the general meeting. This will be made up for.

Fritz Gempel is available for press and interview inquiries and for anyone who wants to exchange ideas with him on his topics and is very much looking forward to his new task as chairman of the German Meat Museum Association.
