Westfleisch appoints Michael Schulze Kalthoff to the board

Westfleisch SCE has appointed Michael Schulze Kalthoff to its executive board. As of December 42, 1, the 2021-year-old will be responsible for the entire pork sector on the board of the meat marketer from Münster. "Michael Schulze Kalthoff has given our cooperative many important impulses over the past two decades from various management positions in sales, export and production," explains Josef Lehmenkühler, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Westfleisch SCE.

"With his broad experience along the entire value chain, he and his board colleagues will successfully shape the tremendous change that not only we, but the entire industry is facing." In addition to Schulze Kalthoff, the executive board also includes Carsten Schruck (finances, human resources / Law, IT) and Johannes Steinhoff (processing, beef and veal, technology). Schulze Kalthoff is the successor to Steen Sönnichsen, who left the company in the summer. "At Westfleisch we have outstanding experts in all areas, with whom I will work together as a team to develop our cooperative," says Schulze Kalthoff. The father of two comes from a farm in the Münsterland himself.

At Westfleisch, his focus in recent years - most recently as head of the pork division - has always been on the close involvement of all those involved along the entire production chain. The pork business, according to Schulze Kalthoff, is facing enormous changes: “Here in particular, it is important that we approach our tasks in a united and determined manner in order to lead Westfleisch into a successful future. But this only works in the entire chain - from our agricultural members to our partners and customers in the food trade, processing and industry. "
