If someone puts their strength and energy into the service of a company and good taste for 40 years, this is worth celebrating. For Manfred Mannheims, this was also the farewell to retirement.

For decades he was sales manager of the R&S Group and sales manager of the entire Albert Rauch GmbH. Since the 70s, he has shaped the company in close cooperation with company founder Albert Rauch and senior manager Inge Rauch and made it an important international logistics partner for the meat products industry. One of the greatest challenges that he mastered in this context was the development of the company's specialty, Merano Speck, into a brand that is well-known throughout Germany and listed in stores everywhere, as well as its expansion into market leadership.

He and the owners achieved similar success with the introduction of Aoste's French sausage and ham specialties in the service and self-service range. Before he retired, Manfred Mannheims, in collaboration with Ingmar Rauch, was able to push the import and sale of Irish lamb. Last year, the sales volume for this alone was around 250.000 kg.

The farewell in Kettwig also stands for a generational change. After two years of training, Olaf Hauf is now taking over this position completely.
