Peter Grothues new managing director of the DLG exhibition department

On October 1, 2012, Peter Grothues (53) took over the management of the exhibitions department of the Frankfurt am Main-based DLG (German Agricultural Society eV) and DLG Service GmbH. He succeeds Dr. Jochen Köckler, who left the DLG on April 30th.

Peter Grothues has 20 years of experience in the exhibition sector. After studying and legal clerkship as well as positions at the Chamber of Crafts in Düsseldorf and the trade fair company for handicrafts in North Rhine-Westphalia, he has been with the Kölnmesse since 1995. Until 2004 he was responsible for various trade fairs as a project manager and product manager. From 2004 to 2012, as division manager, he developed and was responsible for the trade fair portfolio for nutrition, nutritional and environmental technology, both domestically and internationally. These included the Anuga, the world's leading food fair, the Anuga FoodTec, the international supplier fair for the food and beverage industry, and the ISM, the world's largest confectionery fair, as well as the Sweets China, the World of Food Asia and other trade fairs in Asian and Arab countries.
