SÜFFA 2021: Power pack for a healthy industry

The SÜFFA anniversary is delayed, but it is coming. From September 18th to 20th, the time has finally come when all meat industry professionals can really get started again at the 25th edition of the successful Stuttgart trade fair. The organizers and partners agree: SÜFFA has an important special position this year - with huge opportunities for all participants, because overall the industry has come through the Corona period well so far. This confirms state guild master Joachim “Joggi” Lederer from the state guild association for the butcher's trade in Baden-Württemberg: Almost three quarters of all businesses could have increased their turnover in the past year, and especially in Baden-Württemberg the butchers are doing “really well”. He is therefore "certain that we will experience a very good, technically oriented trade fair with a high willingness to invest".

Broad range of topics: "From craft to large-scale production"
It's all in the mix: Since its first event, the trade fair has stood out for its continuity on the one hand, but has also always "moved with the market", says project manager Sophie Stähle. "It has always been our aim to cover the entire spectrum of topics from traditional handicrafts to large-scale production." Sales promotions and advertising, food and beverages or services - new and proven, a wealth of information and ample opportunity for professional exchange.

SÜFFA Specials: Tips for operational practice
The supporting program with the popular SÜFFA specials offers exciting impulses and valuable practical tips. These include "SÜFFA long-running favorites" such as the butcher's womens day or the stage for trends and new things, but also special shows and themed areas. In addition to the right equipment, raw materials and spices, they offer many professional suggestions and know-how. The BBQ area, for example, takes account of a trend that has resulted in increasing sales in many places in the past months of the pandemic. In addition, SÜFFA 2021 will focus on the subjects of farm and pasture slaughter, delicatessen and game & hunting for resourceful butchers who want to expand their range. The additional game business in particular has high growth potential, says Samuel Golter from the Baden-Württemberg State Hunting Association: “Customers are very demanding and want fresh regional goods instead of bulk meat. Game products from local forests are therefore becoming increasingly popular. ”Finally, a little bit of thrill shouldn't be missing: every day the tension crackles at the SÜFFA quality competitions organized by the regional guild association. The prizes awarded there are coveted seals of quality and effective instruments in customer communication.

afz AKADEMIE: "Further education with a vision"
For the first time, the general butcher newspaper is organizing the afz AKADEMIE at the SÜFFA, which promises exciting exchange and further training with foresight. On Saturday, September 18, experts and experienced practitioners will give a lecture on contemporary success components such as rural meat quality, refinement, online marketing and - in a practical lecture with live butchering - on meat competence in conversation with customers. "We are very pleased that we can present this event as part of SÜFFA," says Sophie Stähle. “The function of the trade fair as an information hub is underlined again.” With the ticket, academy participants naturally receive free admission to SÜFFA.

SÜFFA - with security!
There is no need to worry about your own health when visiting SÜFFA, assures Andreas Wiesinger, member of the management team at Messe Stuttgart. “The health protection of visitors, exhibitors and employees is our top priority. In close cooperation with the authorities, we have created a viable implementation concept that is continuously compared with the applicable regulations and can react flexibly if necessary. ”The in-house label“ SAFE EXPO ”summarizes numerous interlocking safety and hygiene measures. In addition to online ticketing and intelligent visitor guidance, compliance with the so-called 3G rules, modern ventilation technology or a general mask requirement enable the trade fair to run in Corona times. Wiesinger: “We are confident that SÜFFA will run smoothly. All trade fair participants can look forward to an untroubled trade fair experience! "
