Anuga: Around 4.000 companies from 91 countries have already registered

Anuga 2021 is in the starting blocks and plays a decisive role in a successful restart of the market. At the same time, the world's leading trade fair for food and beverages is also setting new conceptual standards: with Anuga @home, the world's leading trade fair combines the great strengths of a physical event with future-oriented digital possibilities. The hybrid approach enables experts in the food industry to discover attractive trade fair appearances and products and to make contact with relevant contacts via innovative channels. The hygiene concept ensures comprehensive safety # B-Safe4Business as well as the new 3-G concept CH3CKwho grant access under Covid optimally regulates for all trade fair participants.

Anuga is currently reporting a positive interim result: around 4.000 companies from 91 countries have already registered and further registrations are to be expected, especially from the country participations. This year's Anuga does not include the full international exhibitor scope of the previous events due to the pandemic. Nevertheless, all 10 trade fairs take place and the entire Koelnmesse site is occupied. The ten largest country participations come from Belgium, Germany, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Turkey and the USA.

Under the main theme “Transform”, the world's leading trade fair for food and beverages takes up pioneering future topics this year and presents innovations from the field of cell-based proteins, meat substitute products, clean labels, free-from, health and functional foods. The congresses that take place as part of the trade fair also tie in with the main theme. The New Food Conference with a focus on cell-based proteins is celebrating its Anuga premiere this year. In addition, the sustainability conference of the Center for Sustainable Corporate Management (ZNU) sheds light on the complexity of the most diverse sustainability challenges such as climate, packaging, food losses and human rights along the supply chain. The innovation summit Newtrition X. takes up topics of change and provides insights into new findings from personalized nutrition.

The federal government also supports the restart of trade fairs. With the help of the new funding program of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), small and medium-sized companies based in Germany are financially supported in their participation in leading international trade fairs in Germany - including Anuga. The aim of this program is to provide the best possible support for the marketing of innovative products, processes and services in order to open up export markets. The funding includes a subsidy for the cost of stand rental and stand construction of up to EUR 12.500. More information about this: https://bit.ly/3so9c3T
