Gold for Kaufland meat products from Neckarsulm
DLG – Kaufland Fleischwaren has now received a special recognition in Berlin: The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) has awarded the company the Federal Honorary Award in gold. dr Katharina Böttcher, Ministerial Director at the Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture, together with Dr. Diedrich Harms, Vice President of the DLG (German Agricultural Society), the highest award in the food industry. “For the 15th time, the people of Baden-Württemberg will receive the federal honorary award. This is an extraordinary achievement that underscores the special position of Kaufland Fleischwaren as a leader in quality and indulgence," emphasized Dr. Harms at the awards ceremony in the Meistersaal.
The national prizes of honor are awarded annually to twelve companies in the German meat products industry. In the previous year, these achieved the best results in the extensive expert tests of the DLG quality tests. The focus of the scientific testing methodology was the sensory analysis of the food, which was supplemented by a review of the declaration and packaging as well as product-specific laboratory tests.

The federal honorary award winners embody a culture of indulgence and a consistent pursuit of quality in a way that is second to none," praised Dr. cooper. "The enjoyment value is an important quality aspect of a foodstuff, which results from the sensory flawlessness and must be brought more into public awareness as a cultural asset," demanded Dr. Harms. “Because only by consciously consuming and enjoying food can their appreciation in everyday life be increased again. As pleasure ambassadors, the federal honorary award winners are predestined to drive this development forward.”
