10 million euro for safer food

The current scandal involving dioxin-contaminated meat from Ireland shows once again how much the agricultural sector is networked across Europe. Accordingly, important cross-border quality assurance measures are. In this notch a new German-Dutch project led by the University of Bonn suggests. The initiative, called SafeGuard wants to improve, among other things, the cooperation between the two countries in terms of food safety and animal health. The EU is providing almost 5 million euros available; Countries and project partners contribute once again to the same sum.
