DLG complements its award portfolio with "product classics"

(DLG). A consistently high product quality is a key factor for the sustainable market success of food. The DLG (German Agricultural Society) now takes this into account with its new "DLG Classics" award. Only a product that has successfully participated in the DLG quality tests for at least five consecutive years and has received an award may lead to it.

An essential quality feature in food is the taste for the consumer. Appearance, texture / consistency, smell and taste determine whether products last on the market in the long term. Thanks to the "DLG Classics", consumers can now identify these product classics at a glance, which are characterized by continuous product quality: For at least five years, they have been convincing the DLG experts in the annual DLG quality inspections. The main focus is on sensory parameters, but also on packaging and declaration tests as well as laboratory examinations, which are continuously adapted to changing market developments. "DLG Classics" signal a high quality standard and are therefore a reliable constant and orientation aid in the large variety of products.

With the "DLG Classics" the DLG completes its award portfolio. In addition to the well-known annual product awards in gold, silver or bronze, the "DLG Classics" manufacturers now also have the opportunity to make the constant product quality of a product transparent.
