Christian Traumann from MULTIVAC new interpack President
Christian Traumann, Managing Director and Group CFO of MULTIVAC Sepp Haggenmüller SE & Co., KG, is President of interpack 2020. He was elected to head the trade fair advisory board for the upcoming interpack in the constitutive meeting. Traumann has been Chairman of the VDMA Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association since 2015 and was already President of interpack in 2011. The Vice-President positions are held by Markus Rustler, Managing Partner of Theegarten-Pactec GmbH & Co. KG, and Roland Straßburger, CEO of SCHÜTZ GmbH & Co. KGaA. All candidates were elected unanimously.
With the first meeting of the Advisory Board, the phase of strategic orientation and concrete preparation of the content of the forthcoming interpack begins. It will take place as scheduled in three years, from May 07th to 13th, 2020, at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center. The last edition, held in May 2017 with 2.866 exhibitors and 170.899 visitors, was highly praised by the exhibitors. Many companies reported that they had never written so many concrete orders during a trade fair. The supplier fair "components - special trade fair by interpack" will again take place completely parallel to interpack in 2020 at a central location on the exhibition grounds. Due to the positive response to the 2017 event, expansion options are now being explored. Registration for both trade fairs has already started and will run until the end of February 2019.
Exhibitors and visitors to interpack 2020 can look forward to a completely redesigned South Entrance with a new Hall 1. The new building will replace the previous Halls 2019 and 1 from summer 2 and will offer six conference rooms in addition to the exhibition space. It is directly connected to the Congress Center South.
