Change of managing director at Handtmann Maschinenfabrik
The long-time managing director of Albert Handtmann Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, Karl Keller, is retiring after 23 years in the company. Due to the current pandemic situation, his farewell took place on a small scale with the executives of the company management from Biberach and parts of the workforce.
Thomas Handtmann, managing partner of the family company, and Harald Suchanka, managing director of Handtmann Maschinenfabrik, paid tribute to Karl Keller's "excellent management". Both thanked him for the very good cooperation and his responsible management. "He managed to successfully further develop the machine factory and also to lead it safely through turbulent times, such as the financial crisis and the corona pandemic," Thomas Handtmann did not spare with praise.
Karl Keller played a key role in the successful growth of the company. "Under his leadership, the company has grown significantly, successfully expanded internationally and has consistently developed from a machine supplier for meat processing to a modern technology supplier for general food and pet food processing," confirms Thomas Handtmann. Under Karl Keller's leadership, among other things, subsidiaries were founded in numerous sales markets worldwide, a new company building with customer forums and a modern logistics center were built at the location in the Biberach Aspach industrial park.
With Keller's departure, the management of Handtmann Maschinenfabrik will be restructured. Harald Suchanka, who is also responsible for all sales activities in the Filling and Portioning Systems division, was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of the machine factory. Valentin Ulrich, a member of the Handtmann management board and a grandson of Arthur Handtmann, who died in 2018, is the new commercial director of the machine factory and is in charge of finance, controlling, services and infrastructure. A successor has already been found for the position of technical director, who will take up his position in the course of the year.
