Rainer Laabs will succeed Anton Wahl from September 2023

On September 1, 2023, Rainer Laabs will succeed Anton Wahl, who is retiring, as full-time spokesman for the board of directors of the Central Cooperative of the European Butchers’ Trade, ZENTRAG eG. Laabs comes from FVZ Convenience GmbH, a VION subsidiary, where he has been responsible for the operational business as Head of Markets since 2019. The 54-year-old previously held various management positions at Hilcona AG - including in sales for the German food service business and most recently as marketing manager in the international food service sector. Another professional station of the graduate economist, who also has operational gastronomic experience, was the position as head of food service at Hardy Remagen GmbH & Co. KG in 2019. From 1995 to 2006, Laabs worked for Raps GmbH & Co. KG (Kulmbach), where he built up the food service business as the person responsible for marketing and sales.
