For his 20 years of service, Johannes Remmele received the Golden Badge of Honor and a corresponding certificate from the IHK Ulm. The entrepreneur was honored for his voluntary commitment at a ceremony on July 28, 2023. Johannes Remmele has been a member of the General Assembly and the Foreign Trade Committee since 2003. Since 2011 he has represented industry in the district of Biberach as one of five vice presidents and heads the working group for energy-intensive companies. He also regularly takes part in various IHK programs on a voluntary basis. Among other things, in 2022 he informed the advanced course in business at the Carl-Laemmle-Gymnasium in Laupheim as part of the sequence "Entrepreneur as teacher" about the challenges in industry, in everyday work and in the various professions. "In this way, we can get the students excited about vocational training, the professional opportunities in the region and, of course, about our company at an early stage. From our point of view, a comprehensive school-business network supports the business location and the companies based here effectively in their search for workers and skilled workers," emphasizes Johannes Remmele.

As a self-governing institution of the regional economy, the IHK Ulm relies on voluntary work. More than 2.700 entrepreneurs, employees, the self-employed and vocational school staff are currently involved in the various committees, working groups, vocational training and examination committees, in the general assembly and as training ambassadors and youth advisors.
