Jörg Brezl Spokesman for the Management of SLA Software Logistik Artland

IT service provider SLA with new management

A new chapter in the success story of the Quakenbrück-based IT system provider SLA Software Logistik Artland has just been opened: Company co-founder Heinrich Quint handed over operational management of the company to Jörg Brezl on April 1.4.2010st, XNUMX. “Growth needs new impulses!” Quint summarizes his motivation and adds: “Jörg Brezl has a vision that will move us forward!”.

The company, founded in 1995, has specialized in the special requirements of the IT sector in the food industry. SLA-ERP software controls and organizes the leading companies in the egg processing industry, but also companies in the meat and meat products industry and in other food segments.

"The food industry is the supreme discipline of software," emphasizes Heinrich Quint. Nowhere are the requirements for transparency higher. The process of production is not only a division of labor and is highly complex, a large amount of data and information is transported from agriculture to consumers. And that number is getting higher and more complex. In this highly competitive, low margin environment, process optimization is the key to success.

Located in the center of the German food industry in northwest Lower Saxony, the industry know-how of production employees and IT specialists was combined and industry software developed that does not want to meet the special requirements of a slaughterhouse with a standard program. At the same time, however, you are also able to integrate your special software into the processes of a SAP solution, for example.

So it is hardly surprising that the leading companies in the egg and meat industry today rely on SLA ERP applications. In the meantime the company is represented internationally, with particular success in Austria. Most of the slaughterhouses there rely on the classification software from Northern Germany. Corresponding programs are currently being installed for the collection and central evaluation of slaughter data and veterinary findings.

Jörg Brezl has been with the SLA since June 2009. He has known Artland for many years through family and professional ties. He was often busy in Badbergen during his 10 years in the IT department at HERTA. From 2005 to last year he was then responsible for the food and beverage industry as the branch manager at SAP Germany.

In doing so, he also came to appreciate the productivity of the Quakenbrück company. “Nobody knows the industry-specific requirements of the food industry better and can organize them better in the operational IT area than the SLA.” Brezl is convinced. That is why he had the slogan "SLA - We organize your success" developed as a new motto for the company.

Important new customers have already been won after he joined the company. The customer list includes companies such as Abraham-Schinken, Rügenwalder, Müller Fleisch, ÖFK Austrian Meat Control, BMR in the meat industry and German breakfast egg, Eifrisch, Wiesengold, Ovobest, Bio-Henne in the egg processing industry. But also in the certification and test area for GLOBALGAP or the German Agricultural Society DLG.

“The focus of my thinking and work is initially on people. My employees and I want to concentrate fully on our customers and always ensure their satisfaction. We are available to our customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, if necessary, ”is how the new boss describes his philosophy. If someone has questions or problems with their software, they can contact the SLA's support team. These 3 employees then immediately provide the targeted solution or information. A total of around 40 people are employed.
