Good prospects for Anuga 2019

The world's leading trade fair for food and beverages celebrates its 100th anniversary.
A total of around 7.500 exhibitors from more than 100 countries are coming to Cologne for this year's Anuga. The world's largest trade fair for food and beverages has thus surpassed the exhibitor record of 2017. More than 165.000 trade visitors from over 190 countries are expected. 90 percent of the suppliers and around 80 percent of the trade visitors come from abroad. A special highlight is the 100th anniversary of the most important trading, sourcing and trend platform in the international food industry.   

In the anniversary year, Anuga presents a special mix of the past, trends, inspirations, new impulses and technically oriented future topics. A highlight is the new "Boulevard of Inspiration". This offers trade visitors concentrated innovative power bundled locally and thematically in three interesting special shows - the Anuga Trend Zone, the Anuga taste Innovation Show and the new event area Anuga Horizon 2050. The Boulevard of Inspiration is therefore the first point of contact for visitors interested in innovative new products of the exhibitors, the latest market and consumer trends for the coming year and future development scenarios and future topics in the food and beverage industry.

Anuga Fine Food - The trade fair for delicatessen, gourmet and staple foods
The largest of the Anuga trade fairs combines a comprehensive and varied range of products from all over the world. Numerous nations participate here with joint stands that present typical foods and regional specialties from their homeland. Cross-cutting issues such as halal, superfoods and functional foods also find their place here. The Anuga Halal Market special show, for example, conveys an international product presence and shows trends and innovations relating to Halal. One of the most important trendsetters in retail and the out-of-home market is the frozen segment. In almost no segment are the manufacturers so successful in presenting new products and ever better solutions that are easier for the consumer. At Anuga, the international industry regularly shows its innovations for both channels - food retail and the out-of-home market. With its sub-segments of sausages, red meat and poultry, the world's largest business platform for the meat market offers trade buyers excellent orientation. The trendsetter segment, which has a permanent place at Anuga, mainly shows products for consumers who are short on time or for a snack between meals. Anuga drinks
Beverages for trade and gastronomy. Anuga offers a wide range of products for both target groups: from alcoholic to non-alcoholic. Anuga Organic shows a wide range of organic products from Germany and abroad with a clear export focus. Hot Beverages Anuga
Here Anuga presents coffee, tea and cocoa in its own trade fair and thus does justice to the attractive topic for trade and the out-of-home market at an international level. Anuga Culinary Concepts
The out-of-home market continues to grow and also gives new impetus to retail. Anuga Culinary Concepts offers space for ideas, innovations and networking and is the hotspot for chefs at Anuga. On the integrated "Anuga Culinary Stage" the top-class finals of the young cooking competitions "Chef of the Year" and "Patissier of the Year" are held and a varied stage program with cooking presentations is offered. Partner country Paraguay
Every two years, one country is the focus of the world's largest and most important trade fair for food and beverages. The official partner country for Anuga 2019 is Paraguay. With the choice of Paraguay as the partner country, Anuga is putting the South American continent in the focus of the experts for the first time. Paraguay has around 7 million inhabitants and is known as an agricultural country. In addition to soya, maize, wheat, cassava, sugar cane and rice, Paraguay's export goods primarily include meat. In the areas of beef, corn and soy, the country is one of the top 10 producers worldwide and places particular emphasis on high quality. A total of 27 companies from Paraguay are exhibiting at the trade fairs Anuga Fine Food, Anuga Meat and Anuga Organic.

100 years Anuga
