Anuga 2021: Trade fair offers a high degree of flexibility and planning security

In turbulent times, Anuga offers a high degree of flexibility and planning security. The early bird offer for exhibitors will be extended until October 31, 2020 - additional digital offers for 2021 are planned. The preparations for Anuga 2021 are in full swing. The team around Director Stefanie Mauritz is currently in regular and close exchange with its customers with the aim of offering all trade fair participants an optimal trade fair experience in October 2021. In order to give the industry a high degree of planning security, the Anuga trade fair organizers are sending important positive signals early on and are extending the early bird promotion by one month to October 31, 2020.

"In times when many market partners are still faced with a certain degree of uncertainty, it is important to us to give our exhibitors the greatest possible degree of planning security and flexibility for their trade fair participation," explains Oliver Frese, Managing Director Koelnmesse. “Anuga has stood for reliability for 100 years and this should continue to be the case in these turbulent times. That is why it is particularly important to us to start the concrete planning for Anuga 2021 earlier than ever in order to keep our customers regularly informed about the developments of the upcoming event. This is the only way we can offer the reliability and security that they are used to from us, in order to master the crisis together and to really get going again in the coming year, ”Frese continued.

The Anuga team is currently looking very positively towards the next edition in autumn 2021. Numerous international exhibitors from 60 countries have already registered as part of the ongoing early bird campaign. In order to additionally increase the reach of Anuga for visitors and to reach all relevant target groups worldwide, there will be digital offers and new formats for the upcoming Anuga that complement and round off the physical trade fair. The decision by Koelnmesse to plan all other trade fairs in 2021 in accordance with Corona in addition to the spring trade fairs also ensures more security during the trade fair. Under the hashtag # B-SAFE 4business, Koelnmesse has developed a concept that takes all hygienic, medical and organizational measures into account. These measures are regularly evaluated together with the city, state and health authorities taking into account the current developments of COVID-19 and adjusted again if the outcome is positive. Findings and experiences from foreign trade fairs such as Thaifex Anuga Asia in September 2020 and May 2021 or Anufood China in April 2021, which will also take place for the first time with digital offers, will also be incorporated into Anuga's planning.

The organizers of Anuga are also very popular with visitors, because for many buyers the world's largest trade fair for food and beverages is the industry's international business meeting point. Wouter Lefevere, Managing Director Category Management ALDI Inkoop BV confirms this: “Anuga is the must-attend event of the year for every retail buyer. In addition to being inspired by new trends in the food sector, Anuga offers an efficient and effective platform to get in touch with new and existing suppliers from all over the world in one place. After all, there's nothing like a face-to-face meeting. ”Kimberley Fenwick, Deputy Director - International Soucing Homeplus, agrees:“ I warmly recommend Anuga to everyone in the food industry. It is a comprehensive, well-organized trade fair that offers many opportunities in one place where people from all over the world come together. "

“This encouragement shows the importance of Anuga as the world's largest trade fair for food and beverages. But we are also aware of the numerous uncertainties, especially in countries that have been badly affected by the recession. That is why we would like to support our customers with Anuga as the global business platform for food and beverages, to set the course, accompany the change and actively stimulate the economy again. Feedback from the industry confirms that the next edition in the coming year will be more important than ever in order to give the export business a stronger boost. Even companies that were able to do good business in Germany despite the crisis are already reporting an increasing demand for export opportunities. This is exactly where we will start as a reliable partner in the industry and offer the best possible support with our analogue and digital services, ”explains Stefanie Mauritz, Director Anuga.
