The independent testing institute of the German Agricultural Society (DLG) has once again tested numerous meat products as part of its annual quality testing. The result: Kaufland received a total of 138 gold and 39 silver awards for the quality of its own meat products.

“The quality of our products is our top priority. Our customers should get the best quality and taste experience every day. The renewed award with many gold and silver awards confirms our high quality standards on the one hand and at the same time is an incentive for us to continue to offer our customers the best meat and sausage specialties in the future. This is particularly true in this year’s anniversary year for 60 years of meat produced in-house at Kaufland,” says Stefan Gallmeier, Managing Director Purchasing at Kaufland Fleischwaren.

In all branches, Kaufland stocks high-quality meat and sausage products that are produced in the company's own meat plants in Heilbronn, Möckmühl, Osterfeld and Heilbad Heiligenstadt. Fresh quality meat from selected suppliers is processed here every day. The combination of the latest technology and traditional butchery craftsmanship guarantees a consistently high standard of quality as well as the best taste and freshness.

About the DLG
The DLG is an independent quality testing institute. In anonymized procedures, experts assess criteria such as sensory properties, appearance, consistency, smell and taste, but also microbiological, chemical and physical laboratory tests. Participation in product testing is voluntary for manufacturers. The DLG tests are objective and independent.
