Maggi Cooking Studio Treff opened in Hamburg
In the heart of Hamburg, on Jungfernstieg, a new Maggi cooking studio Treff has opened. Now you can experience the Maggi cooking studio known from television "live". After Frankfurt and Leipzig, it should also be a success in Hamburg. Cooking courses are offered every day at the Maggi Kochstudio Treff. In addition, all Maggi products can be bought. The snack bars have a wide range of soups and snacks and the recipes are free. In addition, there is a lounge that companies can use for meetings and conferences.

The entrance to the new Maggi Kochstudio Treff |
At 9.30:30.01.2004 a.m. on January 26.01th, 2 I stand in front of the new Maggi Cooking Studio Treff in Hamburg. It only opened its doors on January 1996th, which is why the balloons from the opening ceremony are still hanging outside. I wait XNUMX minutes in front of the door, then Mrs. Sauer comes and lets me in. She is very friendly and immediately offers me something to drink. Then she tells me about the history of the Maggi Kochstudio Treff and how the Treff in Hamburg and in general should continue in the future. The Maggi Kochstudio Treffs will soon also be available in other major German cities such as Munich and Berlin. In Frankfurt, the Maggi Kochstudio Treff has been there since XNUMX, and in Leipzig they have been very successful so far and had half a million visitors in the two Treffs last year alone.

The snack bar in the Maggi Kochstudio Treff |
On the ground floor I see the snack bar and the shop, which is very overwhelming for me, because who would have thought that Maggi has a range of over 300 different products and they also take up so much space. In addition to the normal Maggi products, there are also unusual kitchen accessories that are perfect as gifts.

There are over 300 different Maggi products to choose from |
The building and the facilities are very inviting, you want to look into the 700 square meter shop. Everything seems friendly and open, although a large corporation like Nestlé is behind it, which also operates these meetings as large advertising spaces. This sometimes comes to the fore, so you are overwhelmed with the brand name Maggi, because you see everything red and yellow everywhere and Maggi reads about 1.000.000 times.
Ms. Sauer then shows me the upper floor, where the cooking studio and the lounge are located, which companies can rent for meetings and conferences. From there you also have a beautiful view of the Binnenalster.
In the cooking studio, Ms. Sauer tells me how the cooking courses are structured and how much they cost. They are not cheap at €32-38, but you get help with the cooking from the qualified staff and you can also conjure up a multi-course menu. There is also a Maggi apron, a Maggi carrying bag and a recipe folder with all the recipes from the cooking course and a Maggi product. So far, the demand for the cooking courses has been very good, as shown by the two-month waiting period when you reserve a cooking course now. Last year, the other two meetings had over 461 participants in 8.000 cooking courses.

The cooking studio |
It is now just after 10 a.m. and Ms. Sauer has to go downstairs again because the shop is open. I take a few more photos and look at the modern kitchen, which would delight any chef. It was sponsored by major manufacturers.

This is where the cooking classes take place |
The gourmet mile is located in the adjacent building, where a second snack bar has also been placed. At the snack bars there are soups and snacks that change monthly and, according to the information provided by the staff, are of course very tasty. You get the recipes for the snacks and soups free of charge so that you can cook them at home.
At 10.20 a.m. I say goodbye to the Maggi Kochstudio Treff. The visit was very pleasant, especially the staff is very friendly and helpful. If you're ever in Hamburg, I can highly recommend a visit to the Maggi Kochstudio Treff, because there's a lot to discover.
