IFFA 2004 successful for CaseTech

This year's IFFA, which takes place from 15.-20. May in Frankfurt am Main was a great success for CaseTech and the Walsroder brand. Two new sausage casings successfully presented.

With the Walsroder K plus CTR and Walsroder K smok, CaseTech presented two new plastic cases that aroused great interest among the specialist audience. But two classics from the Walsroder brand, F plus and Fibrous Casings, also attracted a lot of attention this year. It turned out that the topic of "graded meat adhesion" is still a hot topic in trade and industry. The Walsroder fibrous casing program offers casings for numerous applications, including unique specialties. The individual types differ in a finely graded meat adhesion. There is special equipment for every application, which gives every type of sausage the desired peeling properties. Walsroder F plus combines the advantages of fibrous casings, such as a silky-matt surface and excellent shrinking capacity, with the properties known from plastic casings, such as an excellent barrier layer effect and excellent meat adhesion.

According to information from Messe Frankfurt, the IFFA registered a 7 percent increase in visitors this year; the proportion of foreign trade visitors rose by 12 percent. Increasing visitor numbers were recorded especially from South America and the new EU countries. The trade visitors gave a very optimistic assessment of the current situation in the sector, and according to the butchers' association the willingness to invest was correspondingly high.

A large number of samples initiated at the IFFA also led to some new business opportunities for CaseTech. Jürgen Schuh, Managing Director of CaseTech: "Our expectations of IFFA 2004 were fully met. The trade fair is very attractive to foreign visitors, which is why foreign business in particular provided growth impulses for CaseTech. But the German meat products industry was also well represented." CaseTech would like to thank all guests who visited our stand at the IFFA.
