Daniel Botic (34) will take over the position of National Key Account Manager Discount at CFG Germany from October 1st. As the head of the newly created discount team, he is a member of management and reports directly to Managing Director Diana Walther.
Before that, Botic worked for the Tulip Food Company in Düsseldorf for 14 years. After completing his training as an industrial clerk, he worked there in the logistics and sales departments. At the same time, Daniel Botic attended part-time studies at the University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management in Neuss.

The establishment of the CaseTech Group's management team has been completed. With Jens Rösler, a proven industry expert takes over the newly created position of Managing Director Sales and Finance at the provider of high-quality casings for sausage products. The 45-year-old brings extensive management experience from various segments of the food industry to his new role. Among other things, the graduate engineer worked for some of the market-leading suppliers in the fields of fruit juice, meat and sausage products, delicatessen and organic food. In his new role, he is responsible for finance and global sales for the CaseTech Group. The creation of its own management team is an important milestone in the restructuring process of the medium-sized company, which is proceeding according to plan. With the appointment of Jens Rösler as Managing Director Sales and Finance, the top management of the CaseTech Group is now complete. Klaus Brandes only recently started working as technical director. Robert Kafka remains Chief Executive Officer.

Part-time professorship for food process engineering in Osnabrück
Dr. Stefan Töpfl was offered the part-time professorship for food process engineering in Osnabrück. The board of directors of the DLG (German Agricultural Society) has awarded the long-time editor-in-chief of the magazine "LT Lebensmitteltechnik", Volker Herrmann, the Josef Ertl Medal. DLG President Carl-Albrecht Bartmer presented the medal at Anuga FoodTec on March 10, 2009 in Cologne. With this, the DLG honors Volker Herrmann's outstanding life's work as a specialist journalist, his extraordinary services as initiator and editor-in-chief of specialist journals and his commitment to the dialogue between industry, science and society. The DLG President emphasized that he had set an example for and in the industry in an exemplary manner for 40 years as the initiator and editor-in-chief of "Food Technology". “A functioning economy needs such competent journalistic support”. Volker Herrmann is the fourth recipient of the “Josef Ertl Medal”, which was donated by the DLG Board of Directors in 2001 in memory of the long-time Federal Minister of Food and former DLG President Josef Ertl.
